Finnish innovation draws interest from Hong Kong

The northern city of Oulu has developed into a fintech and innovation hub.City of Oulu

Finland’s research and product development ecosystem continues to attract the interest of Hong Kong-listed investment holding firm Paladin, which has established its third tech company in Finland within a year.

Paladin is now recruiting for the newly established DynimLabs, located in the Finnish innovation hub of Oulu. The new company will conduct research and product development of camera modules.

DynimLabs will look to recruit 10 new employees in 2018, and is set to indirectly create work for a number of experts in the wider development ecosystem through its partner companies.

“Paladin is convinced first and foremost by the Finnish applied research and product development ecosystem, which benefits them greatly,” comments Markku Lehikoinen, senior advisor at Business Finland’s Invest in Finland. “Founding the third company underlines Paladin’s satisfaction with Finnish expertise and Finland as an investment location.”

Paladin announced the establishment of its first company Kindhelm in Finland, back in June 2017, which specialises in high-accuracy navigation and positioning. It followed up with Pexraytech, focusing on x-ray devices, and now with DynimLabs, Paladin continues to take advantage of the Finnish innovation landscape.
